FROM PRINCIPAL’S DESK                                                           SCHOOL: AT A GLANCE 

Rajeev Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya Gangolihat ,Pithoragarh is a co- educational residential school affiliated to CBSE New Delhi ushered on October 22,2004 in compliance with government of Uttarakhand order number/226/MA.RA.VI/2003,dated 10 April ,2003 . The pious aim in establishment of this school is to bestow parallel and qualitative educational opportunities upon the meritorious students of the downtrodden and deprived sect of the society.  This school was inaugurated by the then Member of Legislative Assembly Honourable  Mr Narayam Ram Arya .

The school has been running in the residential and academic premises of Government Inter College Gangolihat since 2004 as its original building is still under construction.  Notwithstanding the presence of limited resources, with unlimited dedication and will power of 18 teachers, one clerk, 2 PRDs and 8 other amiable auxiliary staff, 218 seats for the students from various walks of society are covered up.

The school is located in the heart land of Gangavali, amidst the two holy rivers-East Ramganga to the east and Saryu to the west. The school is blessed by the well known historical holy shrine Sri Mahakali to the south-east; to the north dense lush green oak trees shield the campus. At the apex of Gangolihat the school is itself covered by mesmerizing and spells bounding natural greenery and vivid flora and fauna.
